Significance of the Jester The jesters that appear throughout our website and on the cover of the book, Create A Celebration, symbolize the fun and laughter that are a vital part of our lives. Clowning has always been intrinsic to human nature as a way of expressing the foolishness and good humor that bubble up from our inner selves and sparkle on the surface of our beings. Unfortunately, we sometimes forget the importance of simply having fun. In today's world, an element of competition seems built into almost every aspect of our lives. Not only must we "get ahead" in the workplace, but we emphasize the element of "win/lose" and "goal achievement" even in our recreation and leisure time. |

Volumes have been written about the negative effects this kind of stress has on our physical and mental health. In a pragmatic, scientific society, we look for complex remedies to stress-related ailments when what we really need to understand is the value of laughter and good times. Clowning allows us to release our frustrations and take a good-natured look at ourselves in a way that helps us heal whatever troubles the mind or body. It's the most basic "therapy" of all and is available to everyone! Remember to keep fun and laughter, joy and high spirits |
