Mission Statement
Create A Celebration provides a continuum of products, ideas and resources
that uniquely integrate the arts, history, game and sport into celebration.
This approach encourages rich cultural experiences among family, friends,
community, country and the world by incorporating thematic activities
into the celebrative setting.
Company's Emergence
Eleven years ago, createacelebration.com founder, Ellen Pals, published
Create A Celebration, now published by Fulcrum Press of Golden, Colorado.
She had a vision to provide hard-to-find products to support and compliment
the themes and holidays found in her book and make it easy for busy
consumers to plan and execute life's celebrations.
About the Author, Creator, and Teacher
Ellen Pals taught physical education, art and social studies for more
than twenty years. In addition to teaching and writing, Ms. Pals has
created and produced neighborhood circuses, Medieval Twelfth Night celebrations,
birthday parties, and a myriad of special events for business and school.
She was one of three selected mothers of the world, including Jimmy
Carter's mother, featured on a Japanese national television special.
In addition, Ms. Pals has been highlighted on local television newscasts,
and featured in variety of newspaper articles. She holds a degree in
physical education and history.
With a love for festival, Ellen Pals pays tribute to her
immigrant parents, Amanda and Albert Beermann, who created celebrations
in their home as she was growing up, and who always found a place at
the table for someone who might otherwise be alone. Ms. Pals also honors
her family, husband Jim, children Justin and Tara, who helped plan and
enjoy countless parties and celebrations.
